Terms of Service

The Clickteam Extension List is a free service provided to Clickteam software customers which allows users to search for, download and discuss both first- and third-party extensions. The code for this service is copyright © 2004 Chris Branch, and the scripts and database are held on Clickteam's servers.

THIS SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND OR GUARANTEE OF FITNESS FOR ANY PURPOSE. NEITHER CHRIS BRANCH NOR CLICKTEAM ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONTENT CONTAINED ON THIS WEBSITE, AND CANNOT ASSUME LIABILITY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO USAGE OF THE CLICKTEAM EXTENSION LIST. These terms of service ("TOS") may be updated by Chris Branch from time to time without notice to you.

Developer accounts are provided for the use of extension developers ("developers"), and content contained within the developer's profile, extensions and extension forums are the sole responsibility of the developer. Accounts that have no extensions associated with them will be deleted without notice. Developers have administration privileges for their extension forums, however misuse of these privileges may result in removal of those privileges, the developer's extension forums or termination of the developer's account. In addition, offensive or unsuitable content can result in censorship of the content or termination of the developer's account. All information held on developer accounts is or may be public at any time, excluding the private email address provided when registering for the account. This email address is only visible to the developer and administration and will not be passed on to other companies.

You will be required to confirm the registration of your account and provide a password for the use of that account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify the administration of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security. Clickteam nor Chris Branch cannot and will not be held liable for any loss or damage that arises from unauthorised use or any other breach of security.

You may terminate your account or view your account details (excluding passwords) by contacting an admin via email. Proof may be required if the email address you give us does not match the stored email address in the account you request.

Users may post information onto the website forums without registration. These users' IP addresses are logged and may be reported to ISPs if there is persistent abuse.

The administration reserve the right to edit all user-creatable content contained on this website, including the alteration or termination of developer accounts. The administration may also ban users and/or IP addresses and ranges at their discretion. A list of administrators can be found on the Credits / Contact Us page. User-creatable content is the following: developer profiles, extensions, forum posts and messages and examples.

Content Guidelines

All content must not be offensive and must be correct at the time of submittal.
Spamming and warez/pirate software messages are not allowed.
Users must not impersonate another user.
Forum thread titles must be descriptive.
Forum messages must also follow the guidelines (if any) in that particular forum.

Failure to adhere to the content guidelines will result in the content being edited or deleted. Repeated offences may result in termination of your account and/or banning of your IP address at the administration's discretion.

By using the Clickteam Extension List you agree to and understand the above terms.

TOS updated 19th June 2004

Do I have to register to use the Extension List?

No. Registration is only necessary if you are a developer and want to upload your extension to the Extension List. It is not necessary if you want to post on the forum.

What can I do with a developer account?

You can add your extensions (and optionally upload them onto the server) and get extension-specific forums for users to discuss your extension. You also have control over your developer profile, extension profiles and forums.

Why hasn't my extension appeared in the list?

To prevent abuse and to make sure information is correct, you must wait for an administrator to verify your extension. Naturally, this process isn't immediate.

What are the extension forums for, and where can I find them?

The extension forums are provided to allow users to discuss that particular extension's usage, and also for bug-tracking and feature suggestions. They are not to be used for any other purpose. Other topics should go to the main forums, subject to forum guidelines.

Extension forums are not listed with the main forums - instead, they are found on an extension's profile.

Can I use HTML in my posts?

No. Instead, you can use forum tags similar to most other forums.

HTML isn't allowed, but you may use the following markup tags:

text - displays 'text' in bold
text - displays 'text' in italics
text - displays 'text' underlined
http://www.clickteam.com - makes the text a clickable link (you must include the http:// part)
Clickteam's Web Site - turns the text 'Clickteam's Web Site' into a link to www.clickteam.com
moo@baa.com - makes the email address clickable

The following smilies are available for use in posts:

[:)] -
[;)] -
[:D] -
[XD] -
[:(] -
[>:(] -
[:'(] -
[:|] -
[disk] -

What are the examples for?

Examples may be found when viewing an extension profile or by clicking the 'Example Browser' link. These examples are provided to help users and to highlight the usage of certain extensions.

The examples have been created by various users and their contents are not guaranteed for any specific purpose, however you may discuss the examples and their usage on the Example Discussion forum.

I have an example - how do I get it listed?

Submitting examples is easy - find the profile for the extension that your example uses, click the 'Submit an example' link and fill out all the details. You don't have to register and we can store the file on our server.
